DLO TuneStik with remote plays an iPod on any FM radio.

The wireless device attaches to an iPod and then transmits the audio to any FM radio.

After it's attached, find an open frequency on the FM dial or use one of the four programmable presets and let the remote match it with the iPod.

The iPod can be charged with the device attached through the full 30-pin pass-through connector.

The device has a range of about 40 feet, allowing control of the music from the other side of a room.

Included is an adjustable steering-wheel cradler for the remote, which gives the driver easy and safe access. The remote is easily removed from the cradler to pass it on to others in the car.

Price: $59.99

Where to get it: Best Buy, Apple Store

For many, the iPod is a way of life but with Macally's TunePro, iPods sleep right next to you and wake you up in the morning.

The flat-panel stereo speaker system is made with a mirrored front in an incredibly thin design case containing an AM/FM alarm clock radio, along with an iPod dock to listen, wake up to and charge an iPod.

A detachable AM antenna and one hard-wired for FM improves reception.

The dock works with all iPods the standard iPod 30-pin dock connector. In addition to a universal well dock, three iPod inserts and additional line-in jack for other MP3 audio devices is included.

Built-in features include five AM and five FM presets, snooze capability, sleep timers, 12 /24-hour time formats and an option to gradually increase the wakeup volume after the alarm goes off.

The sound was great, maybe a little loud while waking up to the theme song of "The Sopranos," but after an adjustment it worked great.

Although it contains an alarm clock, the iPod feature along with the sound produced would make this ideal for most any room in the house.

Details: $199; sold at Fry's Electronics. Target and Wal-Mart are expected to have stock for the holiday season.

Without a battery, a laptop computer loses its greatest advantage: portability. To help keep batteries in the new Apple MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops in top shape, Newer Technology Inc. has a solution.

The recently introduced NewerTech Intelligent Battery Charging Station extends the life of the batteries and avoids the expense of replacements.

The charger gives the battery the longest possible run times and extends the lifetime of the battery without having to drain it.

Two batteries fit the charger; one charges and then the second. Another option allows the first to charge while the second is reconditioning.

In addition to the chargers for the new laptops, Newer Technology has chargers for most Apple notebook computers.
