The NuScribe gives you the best of digital and traditional writing tools in one convenient design. Its precision formed, soft rubber nib glides effortlessly across touch screens, so you can navigate, draw, sketch, take digital notes, even turn pages in iBooks. Because you don't use your fingertips for input, the touch screen will stay smudge free and easier to view. When the setting calls for traditional pen and paper, the NuScribe's twist barrel operation reveals a smooth ball point tip with fluid ink coverage comparable to business class writing instruments. Versatile and convenient, the NuScribe is the "write" option for touch screens and paper.

Hands On Review:

This is a product review of the NuScribe 2-in-1 touch screen stylus and pen, which comes in silver and pink. The pen'stextured copper metal body design is very sleek giving it the appearance of a normal pen. It sits well in the hand and is comfortable to write with for short notes. Though I wouldn't want to write with it for an extended period of time since it does not have a rubber grip, is a bit slim and will possibly give you writer's cramp. So stick to using the ink end for short notes. However, writing upon parchment is not this pens soul purpose in life.

Its main function is hidden in plain sight at the opposite end of the quill. An iOS stylus is the secret weapon of this seemingly simple writing device. As I have found through my extensive testing, it does its job quite well under almost any circumstances. If you are in a climate in which your hands are frequently covered by gloves, or you just despise the distasteful smears on your screen from your fingers and thumbs then this stylus is for you. Those problems can also be solved with a pair of gloves with conductive tipped fingers. However I found the stylus pen to be exceptionally useful and accurate with those apps whose buttons are too small and hard to hit. It's also great for those whose fingers/thumbs are too big, a problem conductive gloves can make even worse.

My one complaint about this stylus is its use with certain screen protectors. It works just fine with any screen protectors that sick on to your screen either by way of adhesive or static cling. The problem lies with those screen protectors that are built into a case, do not stick firmly against the surface of the glass screen and leave a very small airspace or gap between the screen protector material and the glass screen. The problem arises I believe from the level of compression that takes place in the rubber stylus tip. It feels more like it is hollow or empty to achieve its compression upon contact with the screen when a solid or semi solid rubber tip stylus that does not compress as easily would not have this problem. When used with a case such as an "OtterBox" or "LifeProof" case that has a built in screen protector. The rubber stylus tip compresses too easily and does not depress the screen protector enough to make contact with the glass screen below. This results in touch inputs that do not register on your iOS device. I have tested this with an iPhone 3GS in an "Otter Box" case, iPhone 4 in an "Otter Box" case, and a iPhone 4 in a "LifeProof" case. All with similar results in unrecognized touch inputs from normal amounts of pressure applied when touching the screen with the stylus.

If you don't have one of these types of protective cases with a built in screen protector then you have nothing to worry about and this stylus will work flawlessly for you. If you do own such a case then the solution is fairly simple to this small hiccup in usability design, just push a little bit harder when you touch the screen. It took a little getting used to at first but I caught on within a few minutes. In a few days I didn't even have to think about it anymore and it had become muscle memory.

So if you're looking for a iOS stylus/pen and you don't want to look too overly geeky. This classy lightweight metal stylus will fit in almost any pocket, blend right in and be ready to go in a moments notice. Without breaking the bank.
