June 14 - 15:40 ET Newer Technology has begun offering the NuPowr G4 Pismo upgrade, which replaces the 400MHz or 500MHz processor in the PowerBook G3 "Pismo" series with a G4 processor running at 500MHz. Like the PowerLogix BlueChip Pismo G4 upgrade announced earlier today, the NuPowr G4 upgrade requires that the PowerBook be sent in to have its processor card replaced. Other World Computing is carrying the upgrade exclusively for US$299.
