by Staff, 12:00 AM EDT, April 7th, 2006 Other World Computing (OWC) has cut the prices on its Mercury Elite-AL PRO FireWire 800 RAID Dual Drive Storage Solutions line, dropping the upper end 1TB model from US$899.99 to $799.99. Other drives have been cut $10 or $20, with the 160GB drive anchoring the bottom end of the series at the new price of $219.99. The drives ship with FireWire 800 and FireWire 800 to 400 cables, EMC Retrospect Backup, Intech HD Speedtools, and more than 1GB of freeware, shareware, and full software.
