NewerTech on Tuesday released the second version of its miniStack, an external hard drive and port hub that was designed to sit under the Mac mini. The new miniStack offers two-port FireWire 400 and three-port USB 2.0 hubs, with access points on the side of the unit. Pricing starts at US$135.99 for the 80GB model and goes up to $449.99 for the 500GB version. An "add your own hard drive" miniStack is also available for $79.95. Dantz Retrospect Backup and Intech HD Speedtools software are included, along with more than 1GB of freeware, shareware and public domain applications. |
