Details about Newer Technology's G4/500 upgrade for Pismos

As it turns out, Other World Computing has a page with information about Newer Technology's G4 processor upgrade for PowerBook G3 FireWire machines, better known as the Pismo. The upgrade is similar to the PowerLogix upgrade announced earlier today - a G4 chip running at 500 MHz - and the upgrade process will require sending your PowerBook to Newer Technology to install the processor. Like the PowerLogix upgrade, Newer Technology's upgrade costs $299.95 (although the price for the PowerLogix upgrade goes up after an introductory special price of $299.95).
