For Macheads looking to squeeze some extra life out of their shiny white objects of veneration, Mac upgrade specialist Newer Technology has a new set of booster chips for G4/7448 Macs. Newer Tech says the upgrades install in about 10 minutes and dramatically boosts performance in Photoshop and other processor-intensive applications. Upgrades are available for single- and dual-processor systems, including Gigabit Ethernet, Digital/Audio, Quicksilver and Sawtoth models.Prices start at $399.
