NewerTech Media Coverage NuScribe is a combination pen and a stylus for use on any touch screen device like tablets and phones. Created by Newer Technology, the stylus portion of the NuScribe was designed to make it easier to use a touch screen phone with more precision while the pen part is important for everyday uses like writing.

The NuScribe is extremely light, coming in at a weight of only .5 ounces. The body of the pen is 5.25 inches long and .29 inches in diameter making it real small. The casing of the pen is smooth but not slippery and has a nice professional look to it. The pen feels solid but not expensive and the barrel turns easily and smoothly with little effort. The ball point head of the pen writes well with light and heavy presses but the design of the pen encourages a light writing style. The NuScribe is very small and light with a smooth casing. The pen comes in two colors, silver and pink.

The back of the pen has a rubber tip that is used for the stylus. The rubber is very soft and after using it on a touch screen smart phone there were no marks, residue or evidence left on the screen. Even though the rubber tip is rounded, the stylus is very accurate and the touch screens were responding perfectly. The stylus doesn't completely remove the need to touch the screen as two fingers are still required for features like pinch-to-zoom. Regardless of this, using the NuScribe rubber stylus was more accurate for just about every use on the phone.

The NuScribe is nice accessory companion for a smart phone. It is very light and small and will easily fit into a shirt pocket or folder. The casing is smooth and, while the pen is good, it's not really exceptional. The rubber tip of the stylus is soft and doesn't leave marks on the screen, yet is very accurate to point with and navigate a phone. The NuScribe pen / stylus is an accessory that is not required in any way to use a touch screen phone, but can be a nice addition to those who want to keep their phone screen clean, navigate a bit more accurately, yet still need to have a pen on hand.
